If you’re craving some tasty and hearty Italian fare, it’s pretty hard to go past Darlinghurst’s A Tavola – simple, honest and authentic is the only way to describe the cooking of Head Chef Claudio Roval. And the pasta is especially good.

A Tavola was established in 2007 on Victoria Street, Darlinghurst by renowned chef and owner Eugenio Maiale. Since then, the buzzing restaurant, communal table and excellent Italian food has ensured A Tavola is a regular destination for many Sydney diners.

We took a table there recently and enjoyed every minute – from the beautiful Carpaccio di Porchetta (suckling pig, apple chutney and fennel crostini) to the winter-warming Pappardelle con Ragu di Cervo (venison shoulder, red wine, juniper and horseradish) and everything in between, this Italian feast was bellissimo!

A Tavola means ‘to the table‘ – and this is one table we hope to revisit again and again.

N&S proudly supply A Tavola with a range of premium produce including our beautiful Pigs Run Wild free range pork.
